A Governmental Committee was created to organize the funeral of the deputy of the RA NA Civil Contract Faction Matevos Asatryan. According to the RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s decision, it is chaired by the NA President Alen Simonyan.

The ceremony repose of souls of Matevos Asatryan will take place on November 7, from 17:00, in St. Astvatsatsin Church in Kuchak village of Aparan community of Aragatsotn Province.

The last farewell ceremony will take place from the same place on November 8 at 12:30, and the funeral - at 13:00 at the Kuchak village cemetery.

Matevos Asatryan was born on December 2, 1985 in Kuchak village of Aragatsotn province.

In 2003-2005 he served in the Armed Forces of Armenia.

In 2008, he graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Northern University of Yerevan.

In the years 2019-2021, he was the deputy of the National Assembly (territorial electoral list of the electoral district #7 of My Step alliance of parties). He was the member of the NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Protection, the member of My Step Faction.

On June 20, 2021, he was elected the deputy of the National Assembly from the national electoral list of the Civil Contract party.

He was married, with three children.
