On October 15 the sittings of the NA Standing Committees were held.

The NA Standing Committee on Health Care, Maternity and Childhood moderated by Ara Babloyan in the third reading debated the package of draft laws “On Encouragement of the Children’s Breast Feeding and Turnover of the Children’s Food” and the related laws.

The deputies in the second reading debated the draft law “On Amending the RA Law on Human Reproductive Health and Reproductive Rights.” There were no proposals on the draft law.

The Committee endorsed the draft laws.

The NA Standing Committee on Social Affairs moderated by Hakob Hakobyan in the first reading debated the draft law “On Amending the RA Law on Accumulated Pensions” authored by the Government and introduced by the Deputy Minister of Finance Suren Karayan.

The Committee also debated the elaborated version of the draft law “On Amending the RA Labor Code” authored by Hovik Abrahamyan, Galust Sahakyan Arpine Hovhannisyan, Davit Harutyunyan and Karine Poghosyan, which presented Arpine Hovhannisyan.

The deputies debated the draft law “On Amending the RA Law on State Allowances” and in the first reading the package of the draft law “On the Payment of the Persons Occupying State Posts” and the relating laws.

The key speaker, the Chief of Staff –Minister of the GovernmentVache Gabrielyan gave a speech on the mentioned themes.

The Committee also debated the package of the draft laws “On Amending the RA Code on Employment” and “On Administrative Infringements” submitted by the key speaker, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan.

The Committee endorsed the draft laws to include them in the agendas of the session and October 21-24 four-day sittings.

The deputy Mikayel Melkumyan submitted for the debate of the Committee the draft law “”On Providing Compensation for the Deposits Invested Before June 10, 1993 in the ArmSSR Republican Bank of the Former USSR Savings Bank of the Persons Being Deposit in the ArmSavings Bank.”

The Committee debated the RA draft law “On Minimal Monthly Salary” authored by Naira Zohrabyan, Mikayel Melkumyan, Stepan Margaryan and Vahe Hovhannisyan.

On the same day the sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs, where the summary of the RA draft law “On the RA State Budget for 2014” was approved by voting.

At the sitting the debate of the package of the bills “On Amending the RA Law on the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia” and “On Amending the RA Law Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly” was postponed by the authors’ proposal for one year.
