On December 5 the 15th sitting of the Inter-parliamentary Committee on Cooperation between Armenia-Russia will start its work in the National Assembly. The issue of the participation of the deputies of the parliaments of the two countries in the events of the 20th anniversary of the Spitak earthquake is on the agenda. RA NA Speaker Mr Hovik Abrahamyan, Co-Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee on Cooperation between Armenia-Russia Mr Nikolay Rizhkov and the Vice Speaker of the RF State Duma Mrs Lyubov Sliska will give an opening address.
On the same day the meeting of the members of the Russian side of the committee is scheduled with RA second president Mr Robert Kocharyan, as well as a meeting at the Embassy of the Russian Federation to Armenia.
On December 6 the President of the Republic of Armenia Mr Serzh Sargsyan and the Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II will receive the Committee Co-Chairman Mr Nikolay Rizhkov and the members.
On December 7 the Committee members will leave for Gyumri to take part in the ceremonies dedicated to the victims of 1988 earthquake.
On December 8 the delegation will return to Moscow.
