Sittings of the NA Standing Committees are Held

On November 7 the sittings of the NA Standing Committees were held.

At the sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs, which was moderating Elinar Vardanyan, the bill “On Amending the RA Law on Provision of the Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities for Women and Men,” authored by the NA deputies Heghine Bisharyan and Hovhannes Margaryan was debated in the first reading.

The RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Filaret Berikyan noted that the Government was against the draft law.

The bill under debate did not enjoy the Committee’s endorsement.

The Committee wound up the draft law “On 2014 RA State Budget.”

It was decided in future to organize parliamentary hearings on the conditions of human rights in the military units jointly with the NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs.

At the sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations moderated by Artak Zakaryan a financial treaty, a loan agreement and a protocol, submitted by the RA Deputy Minister of Finance Suren Karayan and the First Deputy of the Director of the National Security Service adjunct to the RA Government Romik Harutyunyan, were debated.

The debated agreements were endorsed to be submitted to the parliament for debate and ratification.

The deputies summed the results of the debate of the RA draft law “On 2014 RA State Budget.”

On the same day the sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs moderated by Gagik Minasyan was debated. The deputies in the first reading debated the package of bills “On Accounting” and “On Amending the RA Code on Administrative Infringements,” which submitted the RA Minister of Finance Davit Sargsyan.

The Committee endorsed the bills to be included in the agenda of the session.

The deputies also debated and endorsed a loan agreement presented by Suren Karayan.

The Committee debated and endorsed to the RA draft law “On 2014 RA State Budget” to be included in the agenda of the upcoming four-day sittings.

The NA Standing Committee on Agriculture and Environment convened the next sitting moderated by Martun Grigoryan. The expenditures and programmes of the spheres of agriculture and nature protection designed by the draft law “On 2014 RA State Budget” were debated.

The Minister-Chief of Staff of the RA Government Vache Gabrielyan noted that the means of the budget would be allocated in three directions, then he answered the questions concerning the Committee members.

The Head of the Food Security State Service of the RA Ministry of Agriculture Abram Bakhchagulyan noted that the budget allocations would be directed to the programmes and then answered the deputies’ questions.

The Committee summed the debate and endorsed the draft law “On 2014 RA State Budget.”
