National Assembly Begins the Work of the Last Four-Day Sittings of the Spring Session

On June 7 in the Session Hall of RA Government RA National Assembly began the work of the last four-day sittings of the spring session.

After approving the NA decisions on making addenda on the agenda of the seventh session of the fourth convocation of the National Assembly the NA deputies by voting two bills, which were debated in the previous sitting and ratified three international treaties.

The National Assembly ended the report of the implementation of 2009 monetary-credit policy program, which was interrupted in the previous sitting.

The Permanent Representative of RA President to National Assembly Garnik Isaghulyan presented the RA President’s rejection and the proposal about the Law On Amending the RA Electoral Code.

The National Assembly also debated the reformulated Second Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and Lincy Foundation, which RA Vice Prime Minister, RA Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan presented.

RA Minister Education and Science Armen Ashotyan presented the package of the bills On Making Addendum to RA Law On Education, On Making Addendum to RA Law On Higher and Post-Graduate Higher Specialized Education and On Making Addendum to RA Law On Preliminary Specialized and Secondary Specialized Education.

RA Deputy Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan presented the agreement On 2009-2010 Financial Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany, which was signed in Yerevan on March 16, 2010, and the National Assembly debated.

At June 8 sitting the National Assembly will continue the debate of the agreement On the Activity of the Collective Forces of Preservation of Peace in the Independent States Cooperation and the Procedure of Financial, technical and Rear Provision of the Staff.
