On February 19, the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport Sisak Gabrielyan met with the students of YSU Faculty of International Relations. At the beginning of the meeting, on the occasion of Book Giving Day, the deputy presented books to the participants of the meeting by the National Assembly.
The Committee Chair touched upon the activity of the legislative body, issues regarding the country’s parliamentary government system.
Sisak Gabrielyan also spoke about the priorities of Armenia’s foreign policy, regional developments and challenges.
The Committee Chair answered the students’ questions, which were related to the development of diplomatic and economic relations with the Russian Federation, the neighboring countries of Armenia and the activity of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs.
During the meeting, the problems of the educational sector were also addressed. Sisak Gabrielyan highlighted the construction of the academic city, noting that it is very important to have an educated society for the country's development and progress.
