The Government proposes to Amend the Law on State Duty in order to simplify the process of exporting goods during the implementation of the activities of small and medium-sized entrepreneurships.
The initiative was debated in the first reading at the sitting of the National Assembly on March 23.
According to the Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan, the amendment will give an opportunity to economic entities not to pay customs payments for goods exported from the RA from one carrier to one recipient with one transport document, the total customs value of which does not exceed 1mln AMD.
It was also noted that the adoption of the initiative will contribute to the improvement of the competitive environment. In particular, in case of export of low-value goods, the entities are released from the obligation to pay state duty, which will increase the number of persons related to supply services in the relevant markets.
In his co-report, the member of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Hayk Tsirunyan noted that the Committee endorsed the initiative.
