The Government proposes to amend the law on Securities Market, aiming at providing the regular activities of the Anti-Corruption Committee.
The parliament debated the initiative in the first reading at March 23 sitting.
It is proposed to set out the same power instead of the power given to the Special Investigative Service for the Anti-Corruption Committee.
The RA Deputy Minister Yeranuhi Tumanyants has noted that it is set out by the law on Anti-Corruption Committee adopted by the National Assembly on 24 March 2021 that the law HO-255-N on Special Investigative Service adopted on 28 November 2007 is also recognized invalid from the day of entering the mentioned law in force and is considered the activity of the Special Investigative Service suspended.
The member of the NA Standing (Head) Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Arusyak Manavazyan presented the endorsement of the Committee. According to her, the full-fledged activities of the Anti-Corruption Committee will be provided by the adoption of the draft law.
