On December 20, at the invitation of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine (UAU) the deputies of Armenia-Ukraine Friendship Group of the RA National Group were on a two-day working visit in Kiev and took part in the Conference of the Union.

Within the framework of the visit led by the Head of the Delegation Hovhannes Igityan the MPs visited Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, where they had a meeting with Verkhovna Rada Ukraine-Armenia newly created Friendship Group members and the Chairman Artem Dmytruk. The Head of the Faction Servant of People, being parliamentary majority in Verkhovna Rada Arakhamiia Davyd welcomed the members of the Armenian Delegation.

During the meeting the parties presented the situation and developments in the two countries, their achievements in the anti-corruption fight, touched upon the role of the Inter-Parliamentary Groups in the economic and investment processes and discussed other issues of bilateral agenda.

The participants of the meeting highlighted the historical presence of the Armenian community in Ukraine and the important role of the latter in the development of the country. Both sides underlined the necessity of such visits in the context of strengthening and development of cooperation between Armenia and Ukraine.
