RA NA Delegation Takes Part in the IPA CIS and CSTO PA Works

On November 28 the RA NA delegation led by the NA Vice President Hermine Naghdalyan took part in the IPA CIS and CSTO PA works held in the Tavricheskiy Palace of Saint Petersburg.

In the morning the heads of the delegations of the CIS countries laid a wreath in the Piskarev Memorial Complex of the Great Patriotic War monument, then they took part in the presentation of the book “The Immortality of the Heroic Deed” by the Speaker of the RF State Duma Sergey Narishkin.

The member of the NA delegation Khosrov Haruryunyan took part in the sitting of the CSTO PA Committee on Political Affairs and International Cooperation, where he presented information about the sitting of the CSTO PA Committee on Defense and Security held in Armenia on October 30-31, as well as the results of the observation of the military-political situation in the South Caucasus carried out by that Committee. A certificate was adopted based on the abovementioned observation materials, which was included in the documents of the CSTO PA plenary sitting. The certificate reflects the existing military-political hard situation, dangers in the South Caucasus and surrounding countries and the recommendations aimed at the elaboration of the political mechanisms of their prevention. A decision was made on the basis of the certificate presented in the plenary sitting to refer to it in the PA Council next sitting by a statement. A number of recommendations were made by the RA delegation aimed at the development of the activities and the rise of the efficiency of the CSTO at the new phase, which were mainly passed.

After the end of the plenary sitting a press conference was held with the participation of the NA Vice President Hermine Naghdalyan, deputy Khosrov Harutyunyan and the RA NA Permanent Representative in the CSTO PA Hayk Chilingaryan.

In the afternoon the Armenian deputies took part in the bureau sitting of the Eurasian Economic Cooperation, where the Republic of Armenia acts as an observer.

In the evening the NA Vice President the delegation led by Hermine Naghdalyan took part in the sitting of the IPA CIS Council.
