On November 20 the President of the National Assembly Mr. Hovik Abrahamyan received the Foreign Minister of Lithuania Mr. Vigaudas Ushatskas, who was on an official visit in Yerevan.
Welcoming the delegation led by the Minister Mr. Abrahamyan expressed hope that this visit would be the next stimulus for developing and strengthening the relations between Armenia and Lithuania. The NA President stressed the cooperation with Lithuania at the bilateral level, as well as in the more expanded context of the European Union.
During the talk the sides expressed their satisfaction with the current level of the Armenian-Lithuanian inter-parliamentary cooperation. The interlocutors also agreed that the bilateral trade-economic relations still had rather low indices, and the sides should make efforts to strengthen the ties in this sphere.
In the course of the meeting Mr. Abrahamyan and Minister Mr. Ushatskas also discussed Armenia’s European integration process, the issue of normalizing the Armenian-Turkish rekations without preconditions, as well as the Artsakh problem.
