On February 24, the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs debated in the first reading the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Protection of Economic Competition, which was presented by the Chairperson of the Competition Protection Commission Gegham Gevorgyan.
It is proposed to clarify the scope of information that are not required, to provide for the possibility of receiving information obtained by the Commission from state electronic platforms through special technical and software channels and using it during the exercise of authorities.
It is also planned to correct the existing mistakes and technical problems in law.
It is expected that if the draft is adopted, the registered technical problems will disappear and preconditions will be created for more effective implementation of the activity of the Commission
The Committee endorsed the draft law.
