During December 13 parliamentary briefings, the deputy of the NA Civil Contract Faction Eduard Aghajanyan, referring to the statement of the Secretary of the NA Armenia Faction Artsvik Minasyan that the parliamentary majority avoids public discussions on certain issues, has reminded the RA Prime Minister’s observation during the last NA-Government Q & A session that as of 2018, there has been no practical and theoretical opportunity to have Artsakh outside the territory of Azerbaijan in negotiation process. The only way to avoid the war was the return of the territories without clarifying the status of Artsakh. The Prime Minister also suggested the opposition to answer what concrete steps they would take in order to avoid the war in that situation.
“I want to state that so far we have no answer from the opposition,” Eduard Aghajanyan said and added: “This speaks about the fact that the statements and questions of the opposition on all these topics have absolutely different purposes and the most important thing is to mislead the people.”
He also reminded that during the same Q & A session, the Prime Minister proposed to have a meeting with the opposition counterparts in the closed format on the issues containing certain secrecy, but the opposition did not accept the invitation of the meeting.
