On September 13, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Eduard Aghajanyan met with the members of the Ukrainian Parliament Artem Dmytruk and Daria Volodina.

The Secretary of the NA Civil Contract Faction Nazeli Baghdasaryan and the MP Hrachya Hakobyan were present at the meeting.

Welcoming the guests’ visit to our country, Eduard Aghajanyan underlined the importance of the Armenian-Ukrainian friendly relations, considering the further development and deepening of the inter-parliamentary relations and bilateral contacts necessary. The Committee Chair expressed confidence that after the final formation of the Armenian-Ukrainian Friendship Group, the contacts and cooperation between two parliaments would further deepen and strengthen.

The perspectives of rapprochement of bilateral trade and economic relations was touched upon. In this context, the Committee Chair has expressed an opinion that there is big, unused potential in the sphere, and he deemed the activation of the works of the Armenian-Ukrainian Intergovernmental Committee necessary.

The interlocutors highly evaluated the role of the Union of Armenians in Ukraine and the Armenian community in the development of the relations of two countries. The implementation of concrete practical steps was considered important in advancing the agenda of the joint cooperation.
