On May 27, the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport convened an extraordinary sitting, having on the agenda the item The Legislative Possible Solutions of Fight against Plagiarism.

The Chairman of the Higher Education Qualification Committee Smbat Gogyan took part in the discussion.

The Committee Chair Mkhitar Hayrapetyan touched upon some expressions voiced by the judge Alexander Azaryan.

It was noted that Alexander Azaryan’s name had been touched upon in the frameworks of plagiarism.

Smbat Gogyan talked about eradicating the plagiarism and its dissemination.

The Chairman of the Higher Education Qualification Committee ihas informed that the draft law on Science and Education is in the phase of elaboration, and the mechanisms of fighting against plagiarism are expected.

By the proposal of the Head of the Sub-Committee on Culture, Youth, Sport Harutiun Babayan the Committee made a decision to create a working group, which would be involved in the discussion of the possible legislative solutions of state finance management problems in the sphere of culture.
