On December 8 the parliament continued the work of the four-day sittings, passing by voting the debated legislative initiatives, ratifying one agreement, particularly, Articles 5, 6, the paragraph 2 of the Article 7 and paragraph 3 of Article 10 of the Local Self-Government European Charter (with enclosed Statement) signed in Strasbourg on October 15, 1985.

The deputies welcomed the teachers and pupils from the RA different marzes involved in the project “The Youth Engaged in Society” of Jinishian Memorial Foundation, who visited the parliament within the framework of the NA Open Doors programme and were observing the sitting.

Afterwards the parliament reassumed the debate of the RA Draft State Budget for 2016. The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Pavel Safaryan presented the final version of the draft and the recommendations.

Summing up his remarks, the Deputy Minister has underlined that the draft law is feasible, in terms of the implementation of the state functions, is balanced, and drafted in harmony with global economic and regional realities. Pavel Safaryan also answered the deputies’ questions.

The member of the Heritage Faction Zaruhi Postanjyan, the Head of the Rule of Law Faction Heghine Bisharyan, the member of the ARF Faction Aghvan Vardanyan, the member of the PAP Faction Mikayel Melkumyan, the Head of the RPA Faction Vahram Baghdasaryan, the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs Koryun Nahapetyan, the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Gagik Minasyan and the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Social Affairs Hakob Hakobyan, the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Artak Davtyan and the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan expressed their viewpoints on the matter under debate.

During the break in the sitting the parliament organized closed, secret ballot of the members of the NCTR. The Chairman of the NA Ad-hoc Standing Committee Sukias Avetisyan presented the results of the voting. Koryun Arakelyan, Armen Mkrtchyan and Hayk Kotanyan were elected the members of the NCTR.

The NA Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan on behalf of the parliament congratulated the newly elected NCTR members, wishing them effective work.

In accordance with the law, the NA Rules of Procedure, the last sitting was allotted to the deputies' announcements.
