On May 16 the NA Standing Committees convened sittings.

The NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs moderated by Elinar Vardanyan debated the bill “On Amending the RA Law on Parties.”

The key speaker Hayk Babukhanyan, the RA Minister of Justice and the Committee member Alexander Arzumanyan delivered speeches on the matter.

The Committee endorsed the bill to be included in the draft agendas of the NA session and the upcoming four-day sittings.

The NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs moderated by Hovhannes Sahakyan at the next sitting by the RA Deputy Justice Minister Arsen Mkrtchyan debated the draft law “On Amending the RA Civil Procedure Code” with enclosed package. The deputies approved the draft law: it will be included in the draft laws of the agenda of the NA spring session and upcoming four-day sittings.

The Committee debated the draft law “On Amending the RA law on the RA Civil Code,” which presented the Deputy Head of the RA Police Artur Osikyan.

The draft law will be included in the draft laws of the agenda of the NA spring session and upcoming four-day sittings.

The draft law “On Amending the RA Law on the NA Rules of Procedure” with the endorsement will be proposed for debate at the NA spring session and upcoming four-day sittings.

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Grigor Muradyan submitted for debate the draft law “On Amending the RA Civil Code,” “On Amending the RA Judicial Code” and “On Amending the RA Procedure Code.”

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Arman Tatoyan presented for debate “The RA Criminal Procedure Code” with enclosed legislative package. This draft law also will be included in the draft law of the NA spring session.

The Committee also debated the legislative initiative “On Amending the RA Electoral Code” which was not unequivocally accepted by the deputies.

The last two legislative initiatives were not endorsed by the Committee.

On the same day a sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Territorial Management and Local Self-Government was held moderated by Stepan Margaryan, and the debate of the draft law “On Amending the RA Law on Organization of Funerals and Operation of Cemeteries and Crematoriums” included in the agenda with the enclosed package was postponed by one year.

At the sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs moderated by Vardan Ayvazyan the bill “On Amending the RA Law on Licensing,” which was presented the RA Deputy Minister of Urban Development Ruzanna Alaverdyan was debated.

The Committee also debated the package of draft laws “On Real Estate Tax,” “On Property Tax of Vehicles,” “On Amending the RA Law on Тaxes,” “On Amending the RA Law on Budgetary System,” “On Amending the RA Law on Local Self-Government,” which presented the RA Deputy Minister of Finance Suren Karayan.

The debated bills were endorsed to be included in the draft laws of thе agendas of the session and the four-day sittings.

By the authors’ proposal the Committee postponed by one year the debate of the bills “On Amending the RA Law on the Use of Cash Registers” and “On Amending the RA Law on Licensing.”
