On December 3 the next open lesson took place. The NA President Hovik Abrahamyan welcomed the lecturers and the students of the Northern University. He highlighted such meetings and the deputies’ contacts with the society. In Mr Abrahamyan’s word, the parliament is a tribune of plurality, and the students’ participation in the NA work will give a unique experience to everybody in his/her profession. Hovik Abrahamyan urged the students to effectively use the educational years and get knowledge in the rapidly changing world for having his/her place. The NA President promised to visit in future the Northern University to get acquainted with the problems of the higher educational institution.

Then the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Artak Davtyan continued the open lesson. He introduced the NA structure, the functions reserved to the legislative higher body by the basic law of the country, the order of the formation of the NA Standing Committees, putting the stress on the spheres of the activity of the Standing Committee led by him.

During this open lesson numerous questions were voiced, and Artak Davtyan gave exhaustive answers to them. The lecturers and students thanked for the warm and sincere reception.
