On October 4 the next four-day sittings of the National Assembly began with the approval of the agendas of the session and four-day sittings.

In the extraordinary speech the NA Vice Speaker Arevik Petrosyan said that she presented an application of resignation from the post of NA Vice Speaker. She thanked her colleagues for the joint work.

The Speaker of the National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan reminded the deputies, that in accordance with the NA Rules of Procedure, if Mrs. Petrosyan within three-days does not take her application back, it will be considered accepted. Mr. Abrahamyan thanked Arevik Petrosyan for the joint work.

The NA deputies passed by voting 12 bills, which were debated the last day of the four-day sittings and ratified 7 international treaties.

The package of bills proposing changes on Making Amendments and Addenda to RA Law on Licensing and in a number of laws presented in the first reading was debated.

The NA Vice Speaker Samvel Nikoyan emphasized the ideology of the bill.

The RA Deputy Chief of Police Artur Osikyan presented the package of RA draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to RA Law on Police Service and on Amending the RA Law on Approving the Disciplinary Code of the Police of the Republic of Armenia.

The package of bills proposing amendments and addenda to RA Law on Providing Security of the Road Traffic and amendments to a number of laws was debated.

Mr. Osikyan also presented the RA draft law on amending the RA Law on State Duty.

The NA deputies also debated the bills presented in the second reading (package of bills) on Making Amendments and Addenda in RA Criminal Code, (package of bills) on Temporary Invalidity Allowances, (package of bills) on Making Amendments and Addenda to RA Law on State Pensions, on Amending RA Law on State Support of the Small and Medium Entrepreneurship, on Amending the RA Law on Entering into Force the Judicial Code, on Making Addendum to RA Law on Holidays and Memorial Days, the agreement on Cooperation in the Sphere of Police between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Republic of Italy, the International Convention on the Protection of All Persons, who Disappeared by Violence, the International Convention on the Protection of All Persons, who Disappeared by Violence, adopted in New York, the agreement on the Cooperation in the Struggle against Terrorism,Organized Criminality and Drugs, Psychotropic Materials and Illegal Turnover of Their Components signed between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Latvia in Yerevan, the agreement on the Cooperation of the Participants States of the Commonwealth Independent States in the Struggle against the Grabbing of Cultural Values and Providing Their Return signed in Dushanbe, the agreement (with enclosed rejection) on Cooperation of the Participants States of the Commonwealth Independent States in the Struggle against the Grabbing  of Auto Transport Means and Providing Their Return signed in Moscow, the agreement (with enclosed rejection) on Cooperation in the Direction of Providing Security to the Persons Subject to State Protection of the Participants States of the Commonwealth Independent States signed in Bishkek.

The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Suren Karayan presented the package of bills proposing amendments on Excise Tax, on Fixed Payments for Cigarette Production and in a number of laws.

The debate of the issue will continue at October 5 sitting of the National Assembly.
