On June 17 the parliament adopted a statement on the procedure of the fulfillment of the recommendations of PACE 1609 Resolution at the continued extraordinary session. The parliament also
adopted the draft laws included in the agenda of the extraordinary session and discussed on the previous day and one international treaty. The chairmen of the newly created two committees were elected by secret ballot: Chairman of the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Environment was elected Mr Khachik Harutyunyan, member of the Country of Law Faction (80 deputies voted for, 8 - agaianst, 2 ballots were recognized invalid), and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Territorial Management Local Self-Government – Mr Hovhannes Margaryan, member of the Country of Law Faction (79 deputies voted for, 7 - against, 7 - against).
The package submitted by the government On Making Amendments and Addenda to RA Law on Trade and Services and On Making Amendment and Addendum to RA Law on Administrative Infringements
was one of the agenda issues of the session. It envisaged solving four main issues.
Mr Gagik Khachatryan, Chairman of the State Customs Committee, presented the draft law On Making Addendum to the law on Organizing and Conducting Checks in the Republic of Armenia. Mr Vardan Bostanjyan, Deputy Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs endorsed the draft law. The draft law was also adopted in the first, then in the second reading.
The draft law on the Structure of the Government of the Republic of Armenia was adopted in the second and third readings. In the last version the Justice Minister Mr Gevorg Danielyan said that the name of the Ministry on Diaspora Issues was changed and became Ministry on Diaspora. The legislative package envisaging amendments to the law on Consumers' Crediting and in 12 adjacent laws, which introduced the Chairman of the Central Bank Mr Artur Javadyan, the deputies adopted in the second and third readings.
Exhausting the agenda the extraordinary session ended its work.
