As a result of our country joining the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union, a necessity emerged to comply the national legislation with the provisions of the Treaty: i.e. the demand of smooth transportation of goods between the EAEU member states.

According to the RA Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan, with the amendments to the law on State Duty a reservation will be established on the export of the goods between the EAEU member states: timber, ore, black metal tiles, grinding balls, black metal wastes and scrap, black metal pipes and their fittings, black metal constructions, as well as non-ferrous wastes and scrap.

It was noted that the restrictions don’t refer to the goods being transported to the EAEU countries, it is proposed to comply the classifiers mentioned by the article relevant to the law in force with the united classifiers functioning in EAEU, which were established by the decision of the Eurasian Economic Commission of September 14, 2021.

As Vahan Kerobyan assure, the adoption of the draft will give an opportunity to provide the smooth transportation of the goods on the EAEU united economic territory.

In response to the question of the Committee member Khachatur Sukiasyan, if the RF State Duma wants to apply high income tax by law towards the citizens, who work in the CIS and other countries as a consequence of the Ukrainian conflict, the Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan noted that our country does its best especially for IT sphere foreign employees to provide a good regime of income tax.

As a result of debate, the Committee members endorsed the bill.
