School of Communication to Allow to Work More Systematically in the Field of Social Communication

On May 16, the cognitive meeting of the School of Communication of the employees of the NA Standing Committees organized by the RA NA Staff and the International Republican Institute (IRI) was held in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.

A number of priorities contributing to the efficiency of the work of the experts of the NA Standing Committees were presented at the meeting. The importance of applying international best practices to improve communication skills was discussed.

The experts of the Committee spoke about the common complications related to the procedure for running the pages of the Committees on social platforms. In this context, the Deputy Chief of the RA NA Staff Heghine Khachikyan highlighted the cooperation with the IRI, assuring that the observations and the suggestions of the meeting will be included in the two-month trainings for the experts. The IRI’s Program Director for Armenia Artak Shakaryan stated that they have previously studied the communication needs of the RA NA Staff, the solutions of which will be jointly given as a result of training, and at the end, it is planned to develop a relevant guide, which will allow to work more systematically in the field of social communication.

The Spokesperson of the RA NA President Tsovinar Khachatryan and the Assistant to the RA NA Chief of Staff Laura Antonyan shared with the participants of the meeting the expectations expected from the School of Communication, expressing hope that the school is the best platform for institutionalization of media literacy, social media and knowledge of public communication.
