Amendments for Targeted Use of Environmental Tax
1 / 1

The improvement of the current system for the targeted use of environmental tax paid for environment pollution is a continuous process. The Law on Targeted Use of Environmental Tax Paid by Companies was adopted in 2021, and over time, it was necessary to make amendments – bringing the regulations in line with the requirements of the Law on Normative Legal Acts.

The RA Minister of Environment Hakob Simidyan presented the proposed amendments at the sitting of the Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Protection on April 27.

It was noted that it is necessary to establish a clear list of measures in order to increase the level of effectiveness of programs aimed at environmental protection. It will enable the communities to develop and implement more targeted programs with limited resources.

The draft was endorsed.
