NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Convenes Regular Sitting

At October 20 sitting, the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs moderated by Vahe Hakobyan debated the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the law on Geodesy and Cartography. The aim is to regulate the works of the geodesy and cartography activities, to set the authorities of the RA Government, the state administration and local self-government bodies. It is proposed to establish the responsibilities for the solution of the disputes on the geodesy and cartography activities in the spheres of the geodesy, cartography and the national spatial data infrastructure and violating the law, to set the order of the international cooperation in the field of the geodesy and cartography.

According to the Head of the RA Cadastre Committee, the adoption of the draft law will provide such an environment for the citizens within the framework of the digital technologies, from where it will be possible very fast and easily to receive information on the spatial data.

The draft law was endorsed by the Committee and was proposed to include it in the draft agenda of the NA session.

The debate of the draft law on Amending the law on the Body Regulatory Public Services with the enclosed package was postponed up to two-month term.
