On July 23, the members of the Working Group on Tourism adjunct to the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Anna Kostanyan, Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, Sofia Hovsepyan, Tatevik Gasparyan moderated by Hripsime Grigoryan met with a group of representatives of tourism sphere.

A number of issues concerning the current problems of the tourism sphere and the economic support programmes by the Government were discussed.

The Chairperson at State Tourism Committee Susanna Safaryan took part in the meeting and answered to the entities’ questions. The attendees touched upon numerous issues regarding the regulation of the legislative, tax field, particularly the qualification of the guides’ activities, marketing and the promotion of the tourism sphere not only emerged amid coronavirus, but in general.

An agreement was reached to coordinate and sort out the raised issues. Meetings are designed to hold with the agenda of the separated issues, and an opportunity will be given to the initiators for making relevant recommendations.

According to Hripsime Grigoryan, the Working Group on Tourism adjunct to the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs is a platform, where the problems of the sphere are discussed and are directed to the Government and joint solutions are found.
