At February 26 regular sitting, the RA NA Standing Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport endorsed all debated bills. The debate of some draft laws included in the agenda was postponed by the authors’ proposal.

The RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Arayik Harutyunyan presented for debate in the second reading the draft laws on Making Addenda and Amendments to the RA Law on General Education and on Making Addendum to the RA Law on Local Self-Government in the City of Yerevan.

The draft law on Making Addendum to the Law on Foreigners authored by the deputy Alen Simonyan was debated in the first reading for being included in the draft law of the agenda of the fourth session of the RA NA seventh convocation, which as a result of debate was endorsed by the Committee.

The Head of the RA Migration Service Armen Ghazaryan presented the viewpoint of the Government on the draft law was endorsed.

By the presentation of the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan the Committee debated the package of draft laws on Making Addenda to the Law on State Accounting of the State Registration of the Legal Entities, the Separated Sub-Units, Institutes of the Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs, on Making Amendment and Addendum to the Law on State Duty, on Making Addendum to the Law on Mass Media, which was not changed from the first to the second reading because of lack of proposals. This draft law also was endorsed by the Committee, and it would be debated during the RA NA Upcoming regular sittings.
