On December 10, at the sitting the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment moderated by Varazdat Karapetyan in the first reading debated the draft law on Amending the RA Law on the RA Administrative Division.

According to the Deputy Minister of the RA Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, when the draft law enters into force an opportunity will be given to effectively manage the lands of agricultural importance and considerably increase the incomes of the local budget in expense of the land payment and land and property taxes.

As a result of debate, the draft law was endorsed.
