On October 28, at the RA NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport a working discussion was held on the issue of returning the sculptures of the RA famous sculptor, painter Arto Chakmakchian to Armenia.

At the invitation of the Committee Chair Mkhitar Hayrapetyan the deputy of the RA NA Bright Armenia Faction Harutyun Babayan, the Chief Architect of Yerevan Artur Meshchyan, the RA Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Arayik Khzmalyan and the Acting Executive Director of Cafesjian Center for the Arts Vahagn Marabyan took part in the discussion.

During the meeting the sides considered important to have one of Chakmakchian’s sculptures presented in Yerevan. In this context the interlocutors agreed to undertake steps for having, perhaps, the most well-known work of Arto Chakmakchian The Walking Man in one of the central streets of Yerevan in the near future.
