Works of PABSEC Committee on Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environment Affairs Summed Up

On September 23, at the press conference the members of RA NA Delegation to PABSEC - the RA NA Vice President Vahe Enfiajyan and the deputy Artak Manukyan presented details on the 53rd Meeting of the PABSEC Committee on Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environment Affairs held in the city of Giresun, Turkey.

According to Vahe Enfiajyan, the members of the Azerbaijani delegation tried to politicize the works of the PABSEC. The RA NA Vice President, answering the delegation members of Azerbaijan, reminded them that the Artsakh Republic had never been part of Azerbaijan. He urged the Azerbaijani delegation to work in the framework of the format adopted by the Meeting.

During the Meeting the Armenian delegates also touched upon the elections of the local self-government held recently in Artsakh Republic, noting that they went on in accordance with the established democratic standards.

The RA NA deputy Artak Manukyan referred to the debated economic issues during the Meeting. He has particularly noted that our country pursues investment, trade mild policy, having free economic cooperation agreement with a number of countries. In this context he talked about the Armenian-Turkish border being shut down. The creation of the regional tourist centre was highlighted which was positively reacted especially by Turkish Committee members. Artak Manukyan informed that the issue of Tbilisi-Kars Railway was also considered.

The MPs also answered the journalists’ questions.
