In terms of the further deepening of bilateral ties, the NA President highlighted the role of the inter-parliamentary cooperation, expressing confidence that the formed Parliamentary Friendship Group would give new impetus to them.

Congratulating Ararat Mirzoyan on being elected Head of the legislative structure, Mohammed Haj Ibrahim qualified the Armenian-Syrian centuries-old relations not only friendly, but also brotherly. He has expressed his gratitude to the Armenian authorities for the humanitarian aid shown to his country, noting that this step is highly assessed by the Syrian people. The Ambassador has evaluated the role that the Syrian Armenian community has both in the life of the country and in strengthening of bilateral ties. In this context the diplomat touched upon the programme, according to which the restoration of Syria’s Armenian churches was included in his government programme.
