RA NA Standing Committees Convene Extraordinary Sittings

On March 25, at the sitting moderated by Narek Zeynalyan the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs the executive sheets of the social and health care spheres in the report on the Procedure and Results of the RA Government Programme Implementation.

The RA Deputy Minister of Health Arsen Davtyan noted that during the last period the government remained faithful to the principle of providing qualified, reachable and accessible health care services.

The RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Zaruhi Batoyan touched upon the problems of the poverty overcoming and noted that one of the first steps of the new government had been the amendment made to the pension system.

Questions were addressed to the speakers, which related to the problems existing in the spheres.

The reports on the procedure of the programme for 2018 in the social and health spheres were accepted as information.

The RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ambat Saiyan in the first reading presented for debate the draft law on Making Addenda and Amendments to the RA Law on State Pensions.

As a result of debate the Committee endorsed the bill for including it in the draft laws of the agendas of the NA session and the upcoming regular sittings.

The Committee also made a decision to organize the second reading after passing it in the first reading within 24 hours.

At the extraordinary sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs moderated by Babken Tunyan the legislative package on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on the State Support of the Information Technologies’ Sphere authored by the government was debated and endorsed.

The RA Deputy Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Gegham Vardanyan informed that as a result of the adoption of the draft laws, new entities would be created.

The RA Minister of Economic Development and Investments Tigran Khachatryan presented the legislative package on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on Shareholding Companies.

The Committee also debated the draft law on Ratifying the Agreement on Liberalisation of the Investments, Encouragement and Defense between the RA and Japan presented by RA Deputy Minister Avag Avanesyan.

The debated legislative initiatives were endorsed, and it was proposed to include them in the draft laws of the agenda of the NA session and the upcoming regular sittings.

The RA Minister of Economic Development and Investments Tigran Khachatryan presented for debate the report on the sphere led by him on the Procedure and Results of the RA Government Programme Implementation approved by the decision N 581-A of 1 June 1 2018 of the RA Government.

The Chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee Davit Ananyan presented the report on the Procedure and Results of the RA Government of the relevant sphere.

Various questions were addressed to the heads and representatives of different spheres.

The reports on different spheres were accepted as information.
