Parliament Continues Work of Regular Sittings

On June 13, the RA National Assembly continued the work of the regular sittings, by voting passed the debated bills and legislative packages.

Afterwards the parliament continued debating the report on the Activity of the National Commission on Television and Radio, presented by the Chairman of the RA National Commission on Television and Radio Gagik Buniatyan.

The questions addressed to the Committee Chairman related to the activities of the cable TV companies, the provision of the license, the advertising of the casino games, the independence of the TV Companies' activity and the broadcast of the A1+ TV Company.

The RA NA deputies Aram Sargsyan, Tigran Urikhanyan, Ararat Zurabyan, Vahe Enfiajyan, Khosrov Harutyunyan, Hayk Konjoryan expressed their viewpoints on the report.

The Chairman of the RA NA Accounting Committee Gagik Melikyan informed that the voting of the candidacy of Yelizaveta Danielyan nominated as the RA Constitutional Court Judge candidate, 54 deputies out of 105 deputies took part. 1 ballot was considered invalid, 36 deputies voted for and 17 against. Thus, Yelizaveta Danileyan was not elected.

The Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan presented for debate of the parliament the Annual Report on the Execution of the RA State Budget for 2017.

Summing up the report, the RA Minister of Finance underlined that during 2017 there was no programme, no obligation assumed by the state bodies that had not been implemented or served for its goal.

Questions were addressed to the Minister, which particularly related to the efficiency of the budgetary expenditures, the factors having impact on the economic growth, the possibility of decrease of the profit tax and the service of the foreign debt.

The Deputy Chairman of the RA Central Bank (CB) Nerses Yeritsyan presented the RA CB conclusion on the item under debate.

In his report the Chairman of the RA Audit Chamber Levon Yolyan presented the conclsuion made by the structure led by him.

In his speech the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Gagik Minasyan noted the peculiarities of the report.

The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Defense Koryun Nahapetyan has noted that the expenditures containing state and office secret of the report are legal and substantial.

The NA Deputy Speaker Mikayel Melkumyan also touched upon the problem of the rise of the pensions and salaries and investment risks of the accumulating pension system.

In his final speech Atom Janjughazyan touched upon the MPs' questions and concerns.

At the last sitting, under the NA Rules of Procedure of the RA Constitutional Law, the members of the government answered the MPs' questions.
