On February 20 within the framework of the official visit to the Nagorno Karabakh Republic the delegation headed by the Speaker of the RA National Assembly Mr Hovik Abrahamyan met the NKR Defense Minister and army commanders.

The NKR Defense Minister Mr Movses Hakobyan introduced the delegation the structure, the distribution and military readiness of the defensive army. The Minister presented also issues concerning the social security, for the solution of which the Speaker of RA National Assembly proposed the Minister to present substantiations in written form, in order to discuss them in RA National Assembly and make necessary amendments to the law. The NKR Defense Minister awarded the Speaker of RA National Assembly Mr Hovik Abrahamyan a commemorative medal of the Ministry. Afterwards accompanied with the NKR Defense Minister the NA Speaker Mr Hovik Abrahamyan was in the defensive structures of the frontier contact line, got acquainted with the soldiers’ service and as he said, he was convinced that the country was in reliable hands. He gave electronic technique to the soldiers as present and wished successful service them.

At the city memorial complex of Stepanakert the delegation laid a wreath at the mass grave, then left for Shushi, visited St Ghazanchetsots and had a meeting with the head of the Artsakh Diocese Pargev Archbishop Martirosyan. On February 20 the delegation headed by the Speaker of the RA National Assembly Mr Hovik Abrahamyan returned to Yerevan.
