On March 2, within the framework of the Open Lesson programme, the pupils and teachers of Yerevan Ararat Gharibyan Basic School No.142 visited the parliament.
They met with the deputies of the Civil Contract Faction Lilit Minasyan, Lilit Kirakosyan and Hakob Aslanyan.
Welcoming the guests, Lilit Minasyan noted that the pupils visited the parliament on a symbolic day: the issue of the election of the President of the Republic is debated in the National Assembly.
She stated that from an early age she always fought against injustice and urged the pupils to study well and educate themselves to become a worthy citizen. “Never be broken and depressed,” Lilit Minasyan said.
The deputy Hakob Aslanyan began his speech with Winston Churchill’s message “Never give up,” referring to the topics of the country, statehood and patriotism.
The deputy Lilit Kirakosyan, who volunteered in the medical institutions of Stepanakert, also highlighted the role of education. “You are the creator of the world and beauty,” the deputy said.
On the same day, the pupils and teachers of Yerevan Basic School No. 109 visited the parliament too. They met with the deputies of the Civil Contract Faction Hripsime Grigoryan, Mikayel Tumasyan and Narek Ghahramanyan. The deputies presented the structure and the activity of the parliament. They answered to the pupils’ questions related to the parliamentary debates and the situation around Ukraine.
The visitors followed the work of parliament from the box of the NA session hall, got acquainted with the history of the NA souvenirs in the museum, visited the library, took photos in the NA session hall.
