On November 3, at the joint sitting of the RA National Assembly Standing Committees on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs moderated by Elinar Vardanyan and Gagik Minasyan the financial allocations for the coming year from RA State Budget for the maintenance of the Staff of the RA Human Rights Defender were debated.
The RA First Deputy Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan, the Human Rights Defender touched upon the programmes and priorities of the sphere.
The MPs addressed numerous questions to Arman Tatoyan, which related to the issue of the protection of small and medium entrepreneurship, the forcefully brought citizens, the rights of the women, children, the sentenced, the military and others.
The Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs Elinar Vardanyan informed the attendees that on November 10 the Committee initiated to hold parliamentary hearings, where they will debate items concerning the sphere.
On the same day at the joint sitting of the RA NA Standing Committees on European Integration and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs moderated by Naira Zohrabyan and Gagik Minasyan the financial allocations and envisaged programmes concerning the issues of European integration included in the RA draft law on RA State Budget for 2017 were debated.
The RA First Deputy Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan submitted the financial allocations of the sphere.
The RA Deputy Foreign Minister Karen Nazaryan submitted for the deputies’ debate the implemented and envisaged programmes in the sphere.
The Deputy Minister also referred to the procedure of the RA-EU new comprehensive legal document negotiations, noting that 6 phases of negotiations were held.
Mr Nazaryan informed that two important Agreements (COSME and EU Horizon-2020) were signed with the EU. He has noted that at the phase of inner agreement is the issue of Armenia’s joining the EU Creative Europe programme.
Karen Nazaryan noted the RA-EU Action Plan was replaced by the priorities of the Partnership.
On the same day at the joint sitting of the RA NA Standing Committees on Foreign Relations and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs moderated by Alexander Arzumanyan and Gagik Minasyan the financial indices reflected in the RA draft law on RA State Budget for 2017 on the RA foreign relations were debated.

The RA Deputy Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan presented the activities of the Ministry in the sphere of foreign relations: the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh problem, the strengthening of the foreign security military-political component, the international recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide, the deepening and expansion of the allied cooperation and strategic relations, the intensification of the Friendship Partnership with the U.S. the further development and strengthening of bilateral cooperation with the European countries, the further development of relations with Georgia and Iran, the regulation of the Armenian-Turkish relations without preconditions, the deepening of relations with the CIS Member States in further extension of mutually beneficial cooperation, the active participation of cooperation within the EEC framework, the continuous deepening of cooperation within the CSTO framework, the continuous development and expansion of the relations with the EU for the rise of potential of the RA security system, the formation of the new legal format of bilateral cooperation with the EU, and other items.
