On January 26 Samvel Nikoyan, Speaker of the RA National Assembly, received Bassam Muhammad Alqabandi, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kuwait to Armenia.

Welcoming the guest the RA NA Speaker congratulated him on the occasion of his appointment and expressed confidence that during his tenure he would use all his potential for developing the relations of the two countries at all levels.

Expressing his gratitude for reception the Ambassador of Kuwait also highlighted the enforcement of bilateral relations, stressing in that context the development of the relations between the two countries and the establishment of Kuwait-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group after the parliamentary elections, which are going to be held in Kuwait in February.

Both sides emphasized the advancement of the economic relations. The Speaker of the RA National Assembly has noted that Armenia is ready to provide all the conditions for the Kuwaiti investments.

The interlocutors highly appreciated the role of the Armenian community, observing it not only as a bridge between the two countries, but also a pledge for enlivening the economic ties.

At the meeting the sides also touched upon regional problems.
