Members of Sweden-Armenia Friendship Group Visit Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex: Educating new generation we should always remind people what has happened in the past to prevent genocide in the future

On April 1, the delegation led by the Head of the Sweden-Armenia Friendship Group of Parliament of Sweden Björn Söder accompanied by the member of Armenia-Sweden Friendship Group Lilit Minasyan visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex.

The guests laid flowers at the Eternal Fire perpetuating the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims, honored the memory of the Holy Martyrs with a minute of silence.

The members of the Friendship Group also had been at the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, got acquainted with the documents certifyng the massacre, observed the exhibits.

“We should always remember and never forget. Educating the new generation, we must always remember what happened in the past to prevent genocides in the future,” Björn Söder, Head of the Sweden-Armenia Friendship Group, wrote in the Memory Book of Honorable Guests.

Arin Karapet, a member of the Swedish Parliament of Armenian origin, is also in the delegation, who left a note in the memorial book, too “We will never forget, we must always remember and demand.”
