At February 3 sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, the legislative package on Making Amendment and Addenda to the RA Law on Road Transport and on Amending the Code on Administrative Offences was debated.

According to the Deputy Minister of the RA Territorial Management and Infrastructure Armen Simonyan, problems arise with the legislative regulations related to the fulfillment of the contractual obligations rendering route procedural services by the organizations carrying out passenger transportations.

It is proposed to set the notion ‘route sheet,’ on which the relevant notification being done by the authorized organization of the body giving the right to the route service will give an opportunity to provide the decent quality of the route procedural services.

The ‘electronic route procedural service notion also is set in the law, and its introduction will give an opportunity to organize the transportation process through the electronic united information system and carry out the control.

The legislative proposal was endorsed by the Committee. The Committee will propose the NA Council to organize the second reading of the item during 24 hours after passing it in the first reading.
