Parliament of NA Seventh Convocation Ends Its Activities with Extraordinary Session
1 / 1

The extraordinary session of the National Assembly was convened by the MPs’ initiative.

Before beginning the debates, the parliamentarians referred to the tense situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

Then the parliament debated in the first reading the addenda envisaged in the Criminal and Criminal Procedure Codes authored by the deputies of My Step Faction.

It is proposed to criminalize insulting to a person.

The Government, having a purpose to expand the scope of the beneficiaries making use of tuition reimbursement, proposes amendments to the Laws on Higher and Postgraduate Professional Education and the enclosed ones by the presented next initiative.

If the draft becomes the law, about 4000 students will make use of partial tuition reimbursement this year, in 2022 – 6800, in 2023 – 6000 and in 2024 – 4600.

The presented draft laws were debated at the Head Committees until the second reading, too. As a result of some technical corrections, the parliament adopted the legislative package.
