On March 24, chaired by Artsvik Minasyan, the regular sitting of the Inquiry Committee for Studying the Use of Funds Collected by the "Hayastan" All-Armenian Fund and Transferred to the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia was held.
The Committee Chair noted that two questions were addressed to the RA Government. First, did the money donated by the fund to the executive body serve its very purpose? Second, what programs have been implemented and what are their outcome indicators?
The RA Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan, who was invited to the sitting, informed that they had applied to the RA Audit Chamber to conduct an audit on the implemented programs. “If there are discrepancies, they will be published,” the speaker said.
The Minister of Finance emphasized that the fund transferred 52.7 billion AMD to the Government in October and November 1, 2020, out of which 32.7 billion AMD were used to implement infrastructure, social and other programs. The programs were implemented with high efficiency, targeted. It was noted that the outcome indicators are a high percentage.
Then, Tigran Khachatryan answered to the questions of the Committee members.
During the exchange of ideas, different views were voiced.
The RA Minister of Finance also noted: “Any issue that is not clarified, we will explain in detail.”
Artsvik Minasyan, who chaired the sitting, proposed his colleagues to be present at the working discussion after the sitting, to clarify the issue related to the expiration of the Committee’s term of office on April 22.
