On July 25, the RA NA Vice President Mikayel Melkumyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Czech Republic to the RA Petr Mikyska.
Welcoming the Ambassador Mikayel Melkumyan presented the political situation created in Armenia, touched upon the steps directed to the implementation of the anti-monopolistic and anti-corruption reforms.
In the course of the meeting issues regarding the trade-economic ties, the possibilities and ways of the increase of the goods turnover volumes between the two countries were discussed. It was proposed to organize Armenian-Czech Business-Forums.
The Vice President of the Parliament expressed his concern over the export of the Dana self-propelled hawitzer artillery systems and RM-70 multiple rocket launchers of Czech production from Slovakia to Israel, then to Azerbaijan.
Petr Mikyska noted that those implementing the sale had no permission of the Czech authorities.
During the meeting the Ambassador informed that the Czech companies expressed readiness to make investments for building Geo-Thermal Power Plant in Vayots Dzor Marz.
