On November 18, the RA National Assembly, by the decision of the RA National Assembly Speaker Galust Sahakyan, under Article 70 of the RA Constitution, at the RA NA deputies’ initiative, convened an extraordinary sitting to continue the debate of the draft law on the RA State Budget for 2017 interrupted on the previous day. The parliament in the first reading passed the draft law on amending the RA Criminal Judicial Code authored by the Government.

The NA deputies Vahe Enfiajyan, Mikayel Melkumyan, Hovhannes Margaryan, Artashes Geghamyan, Mher Shahgeldyan, Nikol Pashinyan, Vahram Mkrtchyan, Hrant Bagratyan and Vardan Ayvazyan continued expressing their views on the draft law on the RA State Budget for 2017.

The RA Minister of Agriculture Ignati Arakelyan, the RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan, the RA Minister of Healthcare Levon Altunyan and the RA Deputy Prime Minister Vache Gabrielyan delivered extraordinary speeches.

The representatives of the Factions (Rule of Law – Heghine Bisharyan, the ARF – Armen Rustamyan, the ANC – Levon Zurabyan, the PAP – Naira Zohrabyan, the RPA – Vahram Baghdasaryan) presented views on the main document.

The RA Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan gave a final speech and touched upon the parliamentarians’ recommendations and remarks and gave clarifications.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov has informed that the debate of the RA State Budget for 2017 is interrupted by four-day term, and the NA deputies, factions and committees can submit their recommendations within 24 hours.

So, the parliament ended the work of the NA extraordinary sitting.
