On March 17, the pupils and the teachers of the Ohanyan Educational Complex of the capital visited the parliament within the framework of the NA Open Doors.
According to tradition, first the guests observed the deputies’ legislative work and the dispute. The parliamentary excursion completed the open lesson, which conducted the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Artak Davtyan.
Just from the beginning of the meeting a warm and immediate atmosphere was established. The junior generation concerned about tomorrow addressed questions to Artak Davtyan, which mainly related to the future of the country. Artak Davtyan talked about the Constitutional reforms, presented the peculiarities and efficiency of the parliamentary government model. At the children’s request, he also touched upon the Armenian-Turkish relations and the Karabakh problem. Issues regarding the educational sphere were at the centre of the sounded questions. The future students, particularly, were interested in the order of studying in the foreign higher educational institutions and the assistance being shown to the exemplary students by the state.
