I congratulate the staff and the readers of the Zhoghovurd (People) newspaper on the 5^th anniversary of the publication of the periodical.

The quick affiliation of the Zhoghovurd with the modern Armenian press family testifies to a certain demand of such a media in the society.

During the past years the newspaper managed to literally conquer its readers’ army, to conquer, because the correlation of sadly small run of newspapers and the incomparably big number of the media family members in our reality makes the media representatives also drag a reader from each other for solving their problems.

Surely, various means are applicable for that purpose in market relations, but I believe that objective and reliable coverage is a priority, honour and obligation for any media, a media , which serving urgent information, doesn ’ t have to publish the denial in the same hurry just next moment or next day, a media , the goal of which is not to sow intolerance, but mutual understanding and solidarity in the society, not to gloat over, but to help , not to disturb the sustaining of the civil society, but to display its best support and benefit.

The continuous attention of the society towards the media field assumes not only more operative and responsible work, but also more trustworthy and, why not, also useful information - not contradicting the reality - in which all the societies have a need.

The Zhoghovurd newspaper has a unique work style and handwriting. It is very important that that handwriting never be sacrificed to the momentary temptation of sensation, and populism not be leading, the professional approach and way of thinking not be subjugated to the recorder, and the created handwriting becomes an original, worth of preservation.

I believe that the choice of both the name of the newspaper, Zhoghovurd, and the motto – “Newspaper for everybody and for everything” - are not accidental.

Once again congratulating you on the 5^th anniversary of publication of the Zhoghovurd, I wish that the newspaper is not about, but really for everybody, where everyone can see the objective reality, circumspection and simple human relations.
