At December 4 sitting the parliament continued debating the document “On Joining the Republic of Armenia the Treaty of May 29, 2014 on the ‘Eurasian Economic Union,’” signed in Minsk on October 10, 2014.

The NA deputies Samvel Farmanyan, Levon Martirosyan, Hovhannes Margaryan, Hakob Hakobyan, Gurgen Arsenyan, Zaruhi Postanjyan, Edmon Marukyan delivered speeches on the treaty.

The representatives of the political forces represented in the parliament also voiced assessments and expressed their viewpoints on the new economic union, as the Head of the Heritage Faction Rubik Hakobyan, the Head of the ARF Faction Armen Rustamyan, the Head of the ANC Faction Levon Zurabyan, the member of the PAP Faction Tigran Urikhanyan and the Head of the RPA Faction Vahram Baghdasaryan.

The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Suren Karayan in his concluding speech thanked the parliament for the concerned debates and touched upon two important facts. The Deputy Minister noted that the most important principle of the EEU is the preservation of the self-sovereignty of the Union members. Mr Karayan as an important circumstance has noted the fact that the RA-EU cooperation continues, and our country has no limit.

Then the parliament passed to the debate of the RA draft budget for 2015.

The first Deputy Minister of Finance Pavel Safaryan informed the attendees that 387 proposals were received on the draft budget: 46 out of them were passed by the RA Government.

The NA deputies Rubik Hakobyan, Heghine Bisharyan, Levon Zurabyan, Mikayel Melkumyan and Vahram Baghdasaryan representing their faction gave speeches on the draft budget.

The RA Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan delivered a concluding speech on the main financial document of the next year.

As a result of voting the parliament with 71 for and 46 against passed the bill “On the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2015,” and with 103 for, 7 against and 1 abstention ratified the treaty “On Joining the Republic of Armenia the Treaty of May 29, 2014 on the ‘Eurasian Economic Union,’” signed in Minsk on October 10, 2014.

After the end of voting the deputies considered the annual programme of the activity of the RA Control Chamber for 2015, which presented the member of the Chamber Lilit Gevorgyan.

The member of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Sukias Avetisyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The deputies debated the package of bills “On Amending the RA Law the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly,” “On Amending the RA Law on the RA Budgetary System” and “On Amending the RA Law on the RA Control Chamber,” which presented the NA deputy Gagik Minasyan.

The debate of the issue was interrupted: the work of the four-day sittings ended.

The NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan presiding over the sittings announced the sixth session of the NA fifth convocation ended: the anthem of the Republic of Armenia sounded.
