RA NA President Galust Sahakyan Receives the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the PRC to RA

On May 7 the RA NA President Galust Sahakyan received Tian Changchun, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Armenia. Hermine Naghdalyan, the RA NA Vice President, Head of Armenia-China Friendship Group attended the meeting.

The Ambassador conveyed the congratulatory message and best wishes of Zhang Dejiang, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China on being elected NA President to Galust Sahakyan.

Thanking the Ambassador for congratulations the RA NA President Galust Sahakyan highly assessed the current level of the Armenian-Chinese relations and highlighted the further deepening of the bilateral ties. Noting that the inter-parliamentary relations had permanently been at high level, the NA President expressed confidence that the traditions of cooperation and friendship would continue. To the conviction of the President of the Parliament, the Armenian-Chinese relations have big potential of development.

Noting that the inter-parliamentary effective cooperation is a good example for the development of cooperation in other spheres, the Ambassador of China also has highlighted the further deepening of bilateral relations. He has documented with satisfaction that the Armenian-Chinese relations rapidly develop, and there is big potential of deepening the cooperation and has noted that the Chinese side designs to expand the investment programmes in Armenia. He highly assessed Armenia’s efforts aimed at peace and stability of the region. He expressed conviction that Armenia led by the President Serzh Sargsyan would have success and progress and highlighted the role of the RPA in ensuring stability.

During the meeting other issues were also discussed.
