On July 9 RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan received the delegation led by Mostafa Mohammed Najjar, Interior Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI).
The NA President expressed conviction that the IRI Interior Minister’s visit would more strengthen the Armenian-Iranian friendly relations. Hovik Abrahamyan noted that Armenia highlighted the mutually beneficial cooperation with neighbourly and friendly Islamic Republic of Iran and documented with satisfaction that the Armenian-Iranian cooperation continued to develop in all spheres, which testified to the resoluteness of the both sides to more deepen the existing friendly and practical ties between two countries.
The IRI Interior Minister emphasized the deepening of cooperation of two countries in all directions. He considered necessary the activation of economic cooperation which did not correspond with high level of political relations. In Mr Najjar’s word, the expansion and deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation between the marzes of Armenia and states of Iran is one of the most important directions, which will allow boosting the trade-economic cooperation.
Both sides highlighted the implementation of the reached agreements and the further development of inter-parliamentary cooperation was stressed.
In the course of the meeting other issues of bilateral interest were also discussed.
