On March 19 the RA National Assembly began the work of the next four-day sittings with the approval of the draft law decision on amending the agenda of the eleventh session of the RA National Assembly fourth convocation and of the March 19-22 four-day sittings agenda, after which the deputies passed by voting two dozens of bills and three international treaties, which were debated during the previous four-day sittings.

Garnik Isaghulyan, Permanent representative to the RA President in the National Assembly, submitted the package of bills “On Amending the RA Law on Examination of the Influence on Environment” and “On Amending the RA Law on State Duty, which was returned to the National Assembly by the RA President’s rejection and was adopted by the parliament on February 6, 2012.

Khachik Harutyunyan, Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Agriculture and Environment in his co-speech presented the phases of the package debate and noted that it needed to be completed.

Then the deputies debated in the second reading the package of bills “On Legal Regime of the Emergency Situation,” “On Amending the RA Code on Administrative Infringements,” and “On Amending the RA Law ‘NA Rules of Procedure’” by presentation of the RA Justice Minister Hrayr Tovmasyan.

Vardan Aramyan, Deputy Minister of Finance, presented three agreements to the deputies’ assessment.

The deputies debated the loan agreement “Community Water Supply Programme” between the Republic of Armenia and International Bank of Reconstruction and Development, which was signed on February 24, 2012.

The bill “On Amending the RA Law on Advertisements” was debated.

The NA deputies also debated the package of bills “On Amending the RA Law on the RA Citizen’s Passport,” “On Amending the RA Electoral Code,” “On Amending the Identification Cards,” the package of bills proposing “On Amending the Code on RA Administrative Infringements,” and in a number of laws, the bills “On Amending the RA Civil Procedure Code” and “On Amending the RA Law on Passing into Military Service.”

The National Assembly will continue the work of the four-day sittings on March 20.
