On March 24 the Chief of RA National Assembly Staff Gegham Gharibjanyan received the delegation of Korea-Armenia Friendship Parliamentary Group of the parliament of the Republic of Korea.
Mr Gharibjanyan expressed satisfaction for the active development of the parliamentary relations of the two countries, noticing that this cooperation more enlivened after the official visit of RA National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan to Korea in 2009. The Chief of the National Assembly Staff thanked for big technical help shown to RA National Assembly by the Korean parliament and asked the Korean MPs to convey the word of gratitude to other MPs of Korea and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). He expressed admiration for the wisdom and stamina, thanks to which in a few decades Korea became one of the progressive countries of the world. Mr Gharibjanyan expressed conviction that the parliamentary relations of Armenia and Korea would more activate and promote the establishment and development of cooperation of two countries in different spheres.
The Korean MPs expressed their gratitude for warm and sincere reception, noting that they were pleasantly surprised at many common features of the two peoples. They said that at the end of the 50s Korea being in war needed help and received support, which they would never forget. Today, Korea is standing firm on its feet, and is trying to be useful within its possibilities. They ensured the Armenian side that after returning back to Korea they would do their best in order to have the inter-parliamentary relations of two countries not only continuous, but also to be actively developed.
