The Speaker of RA National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan received the newly appointed Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Armenia Ata Serdarov.

Congratulating the Ambassador in connection with his appointment Hovik Abrahamyan expressed hope that his job would promote to more strengthen and deepen the Armenian-Turkmen mutually beneficial relations. As Speaker of the Parliament he expressed willingness to support the formation of the legislative field necessary for effective development of bilateral relations.

The Speaker of RA National Assembly emphasized the development of the inter-parliamentary relations between the legislative bodies of the two countries, noting that he was ready to assist the activation of those relations.

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan Ata Serdarov ensured that  he would use his knowledge and experience for strengthening and developing the Armenian-Turkmen relations.

Armenia-Turkmenistan Parliamentary Friendship Group functions in the Armenian Parliament. RA NA President considered necessary that in the Parliament of Turkmenistan such Parliamentary Friendship Group would be created too.

Other issues concerning the bilateral relations will be discussed too.
